Obverse description Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, depicted with a draped shoulder, the emperor's characteristic strong profile rendered in high relief with well-defined features. The laureate wreath is rendered in fine detail atop the head. A beaded border frames the design. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS XIIII CENS PER P P, identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature including his role as perpetual censor and fourteenth consulship.
