Obverse description Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, draped with aegis on the left shoulder, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curled hair and laurel wreath. The portrait is robust and strongly modelled, characteristic of Flavian imperial portraiture. The surrounding circular legend is incuse in Latin capitals, running from lower left to right around the periphery of the flan. The coin displays a rich patina of green and brown tones consistent with its bronze composition and age.
