The goddess extends an olive branch in her right hand, symbolising peace, while her left hand rests upon a grounded shield; a spear is held vertically at her side. The encircling legend MINER PACIF COS II is distributed around the upper and outer periphery, with the authorising senatorial mark S C flanking the figure in the lower field. The broad, hammered flan displays the characteristic flat, wide format of the Roman imperial sestertius, with patination consistent with the bronze series of this period. |
