Obverse description Radiate head of the deified Augustus facing left, rendered in bold relief with characteristic Julio-Claudian portraiture. The hair is depicted in short, layered strands with a radiate crown encircling the head, symbolizing divine status. The circular Latin legend DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER runs along the periphery of the flan, proclaiming Augustus as the divine father. The portrait displays the strong, idealized facial features typical of posthumous Augustan coinage struck under Tiberius. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with provincial hammered bronze coinage of the period.
