| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the idealized Julio-Claudian portrait style typical of provincial coinage. A lituus (augural staff), emblem of Augustus's role as augur, is positioned in the field before the effigy. The Latin legend CAESAR DIVI F arcs around the portrait, identifying the emperor as son of the deified Julius Caesar.
