Reverse description Central device consisting of a floriated or foliated cross with ornate, leaf-like terminations to each arm, set within a beaded inner circle. Small decorative elements, including pellets, appear at the angles between the cross arms, lending the composition an elegant, Gothic-influenced character. A Latin devotional legend encircles the design within the outer border, partially legible around the periphery of the irregularly shaped flan. The reverse design is well-centered relative to the obverse and displays good relief for a hammered copper issue of this denomination.
