| Descripción del anverso | A bold floriated cross with fleur-de-lis terminals occupies the central field, enclosed within a plain inner circle bordered by a reeded (corded) ring. A single pellet is placed in each of the four quadrants formed by the arms of the cross. The surrounding legend, rendered in Gothic lettering, runs along the outer margin between two linear borders, identifying the ruler and his titles. The overall design is characteristic of the late-medieval Milanese hammered billon coinage, with the irregular flan typical of hand-struck pieces of this period. |
