| 表面の説明 | Right-facing draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Arcadius, adorned with a pearl diadem from which two pendilia descend alongside the face. The hair is rendered in finely engraved parallel ridges surmounted by a prominent pearl cluster at the crown. The paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder with a fibula, and the cuirass is elaborately decorated with a gorgoneion or similar ornamental device at the chest. The encircling Latin legend reads D N ARCADI-VS P F AVG, identifying the emperor by name with his imperial titles. |
