Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in the typical provincial style of Asia Minor. The portrait displays characteristic facial features of the emperor, with a slightly idealized yet recognizable effigy. The circular Greek legend surrounds the bust, reading ΟΥΕϹΠΑϹΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ, identifying him as Vespasian Augustus. The flan is irregular, as is characteristic of locally struck provincial bronzes of the Flavian period.
