Reverse description The central field bears the large senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum), the two letters separated by a midpoint, all enclosed within an open laurel wreath rendered with individually modelled leaves. The entire design is framed by a beaded border. The plain, uncluttered composition is characteristic of Trajanic bronze semis coinage struck under senatorial sanction, emphasising the authority of the Roman Senate over base-metal currency.
