Obverse description Bare head of Tiberius facing left, rendered in a naturalistic portrait style typical of early Julio-Claudian coinage. The effigy displays finely engraved facial features with short cropped hair, the neck truncation cleanly cut. The circular legend surrounds the portrait in the field, inscribed in crisp Latin capitals along the periphery.

Reverse description The Altar of the Three Gauls (Ara Trium Galliarum) at Lugdunum depicted in frontal view, its facade decorated with a corona civica flanked by nude male figures on either side. Atop tall columns flanking the altar stand winged Victories, each holding a laurel wreath. The abbreviated legend ROM ET AVG appears prominently in the field, referencing the imperial cult dedicated to Rome and Augustus at Lugdunum.
