| Obverse description | Bare head of Fortuna facing right, with a trident positioned behind the neck. The effigy is rendered in a provincial style typical of late Republican Hispanic coinage, with broad facial features and limited detail. The legend CARTEIA is inscribed around the periphery of the flan, identifying the issuing city. The overall fabric is irregular, consistent with hammered municipal bronze production of the period. |
