The large senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears divided in the lower field to either side of the seated figure, as mandated by the Claudian monetary reform reaffirmed under Nero. The overall composition is characteristic of the Rome Mint semis coinage of the AD 62–68 period. |
