Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Nero facing right, with finely rendered curling hair falling over the nape of the neck in the characteristic Julio-Claudian style. The imperial effigy is depicted with naturalistic portraiture typical of early Neronian coinage, showing a youthful, slightly fleshy face with defined features. The circular legend runs along the coin's periphery in incuse Latin capitals. The portrait occupies the central field with no additional decorative elements.
