| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena in right profile, rendered in the Hellenistic tradition, with a crested Corinthian-style helmet covering the skull. The effigy displays a stylized facial treatment characteristic of Iberian provincial coinage of the 2nd century BC. The Iberian legend 'untikesken', denoting the issuing authority, appears in the field to the right of the bust in Levantine Iberian script. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered Hispanic semisses of this period. |
