Obverse description Two draped figures of Gaius and Lucius Caesar standing facing, side by side on a low podium, each wearing a toga and rendered in a schematic provincial style. The twin effigies are depicted frontally, their forms broad and rounded, characteristic of Hispanian municipal coinage of the Augustan period. The encircling Latin legend reads CAESARES GEMINI, identifying the heirs of Augustus.
