| Obverse description | Bare or radiate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in a provincial style characteristic of Hispanian municipal coinage. The portrait displays a simplified but recognizable imperial effigy with short hair. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP AVGVSTVS P P, identifying the emperor with his title of Pater Patriae. The field is plain, and the flan is irregular as typical of hammered provincial bronze issues. The overall style reflects local die-cutting traditions of the Turiaso mint in the Ebro valley region. |
