Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the Roman provincial style with naturalistic, slightly stylized features. The portrait displays short, layered hair with characteristic Augustan fringe curls swept forward over the brow. The bust is truncated at the neck and positioned centrally within a beaded border. The field surrounding the effigy is plain, with a partially legible legend running along the upper periphery. The workmanship is consistent with local colonial coinage struck at Paestum during the Augustan period.
