Reverse description Horse standing to left, rendered in a sturdy, somewhat schematic provincial style within a beaded border. The Greek legend ΝΙΚΟΜΑΧΟΥ, reading clockwise around the field, identifies the magistrate Nikomachos responsible for the issue. The horse is depicted with naturalistic proportions despite the small module of the coin, its legs clearly articulated and tail indicated. The field is plain, and the overall design follows standard Thessalian koinon iconographic conventions for subsidiary bronze denominations of the Roman Imperial period.
