Semis

Carisa — identified with the modern site of Bornos in the province of Cádiz — was one of the lesser Turdetanian towns of Hispania Ulterior that gained limited minting rights under Roman administrative reorganization of the peninsula following the Sertorian War. Its bronze issues are scarce enough that die studies remain incomplete, and ACIP 2514 represents one of the few anchor points for attributing this mint with confidence.
