| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Apollo in right profile, rendered in the local Iberian-Hellenistic style with schematized hair locks radiating from the crown. A decorative circular motif or pellet appears in the field to the right of the effigy. The Latin magistrate's legend NIG OBVL is disposed around the periphery, referencing both the local magistrate and the mint city of Obulco. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat flat, characteristic of Iberian bronze coinage of this period. |
