| Obverse description | Bare-headed, bearded bust of Francesco Maria II della Rovere facing left, draped in armour with an ornate gorget and pauldron visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief with bold, naturalistic modelling characteristic of late Renaissance Italian coinage. A rope-bordered inner circle frames the portrait. The Latin legend FRANCISCVS MARIA II runs along the outer periphery, divided by a dot separator. |

| Reverse description | Central field occupied by the quartered coat of arms of the della Rovere dynasty, consisting of a divided escutcheon bearing the della Rovere oak-tree device on the dexter side and a cross-charged quarter on the sinister, all surmounted by a ducal crown of elaborate floral and foliate design. The shield is rendered in high relief with fine heraldic detail. The surrounding Latin legend · VRBINI * DVX * VI reads along the outer border, identifying the ruler as the sixth Duke of Urbino. The coin's edge retains the characteristic rope-milled border of hammered Italian scudi. |
