| Obverse description | Crowned heraldic shield bearing a large fleur-de-lis, rendered in high relief typical of late-fifteenth-century Italian hammered coinage. A small sun device appears immediately above the crown, serving as the issuer's emblem and giving the denomination its name. The surrounding Latin legend is arranged in a beaded inner circle, and beneath the seventh letter of the inscription a cursive squiggle known as the 'point secret' or mintmaster's secret mark is visible. The overall design reflects the Franco-Italian feudal iconography associated with the Trivulzio lordship. |

The Latin Christological legend, split into three acclamations, runs continuously around the coin within a beaded border, separated by small stops.
