Obverse description Central field displays the arms of Zürich — a shield divided per pale, with the heraldic lion of Zürich on the dexter side and diagonal barry on the sinister — surmounted by a crowned helm with elaborate crest, all within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend encircles the design in the outer border, partially legible. The square klippe flan exhibits the characteristic irregular hammered surfaces typical of 16th-century Swiss municipal coinage.

Reverse description Central field depicts the Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, with spread wings and detailed feathering rendered in the hammered style, contained within a beaded inner circle. A Latin legend runs around the circumference in the outer border, reading in part CIVITA (Civitas), identifying the issuing city authority. The plain square klippe flan extends beyond the circular design area at each corner, consistent with 16th-century Zürich klippe production.
