A beaded inner border surrounds the central device, with a circular Latin legend occupying the outer ring between the beaded border and the edge of the flan. The klippe exhibits two pierced holes at opposing corners, suggesting later use as a devotional or commemorative pendant. The hammered technique imparts characteristic irregular planchet edges consistent with mid-sixteenth-century Swiss municipal coinage. |
