| Obverse description | Stylised facing head of Wodan rendered in debased Anglo-Saxon die-cutting style, enclosed within a pelleted border. Nine pellets-in-annulets are disposed around the border, serving as decorative punctuation elements characteristic of Series H sceats. A trefoil of pellets appears below the head in the lower field, a motif commonly associated with this type. The design reflects the abstracted, non-portrait tradition of secondary-phase sceat coinage. |

| Reverse description | A fantastic or zoomorphic bird depicted in profile standing to the right, rendered in the schematic, abstract style typical of Series H, Type 49 sceats. A pellet-in-pelleted-annulet motif appears before the bird in the field, with three additional pellets distributed around the design. The bird's form is highly stylised, consistent with the decorative, non-naturalistic iconography of secondary Anglo-Saxon sceat production. The overall composition is contained within an irregular flan, characteristic of hand-hammered coinage of this period. |
