Obverse description In high relief, the German Michel figure, shown as a helmeted warrior brandishing a sword, grapples simultaneously with three adversaries in the field: a bear (representing Russia) to his left, a bulldog (representing England) to his right, and a rooster (representing France) visible in the upper left. The maker's signature W ACHTENHAGEN is inscribed along the upper rim.

Reverse description An oak tree rendered in bold relief fills the field, its spreading branches and acorn-bearing foliage framing a three-line inscription in large raised letters. The date 1914 appears in the lower portion of the field, integrated into the tree trunk design.
