| Reverse description | The central field depicts Saint Martin on horseback in fine milled relief, shown in the iconic act of charity: with his sword he divides his military cloak, offering half to a kneeling beggar positioned at the horse's feet. The exergue carries the date 1668, which is also incorporated into the peripheral legend SANCTVS ★ MARTINVS ★ 1668 ★ in Latin capitals, the three elements separated by pointed star stops running along the coin's border. |
