Obverse description The Annunciation scene depicted in Gothic style: the Archangel Gabriel stands to the left, facing right, his wings spread behind him, his right hand raised in salutation and his left holding a lily stem — the symbol of purity. To the right, the Virgin Mary stands facing left in a posture of humble acceptance, her right hand raised before her. Between the two figures, a vase with a flowering lily branch rises from the ground. A circular Gothic legend in Latin runs around the inner beaded border, with a further inscription visible along the outer margin.
