Reverse description A bold floriated cross of Saint Thomas, with trefoil terminals at each arm, dominates the reverse field. The four quarters formed by the cross arms contain the denomination and date arranged as: '12' in the upper-left quarter, 'X' (xerafins) in the upper-right quarter, '18' in the lower-left quarter, and '24' in the lower-right quarter. The cross is rendered in high relief consistent with hammered coinage of the Goa mint, with no surrounding legend.
