| Descrizione del dritto | The crowned Portuguese royal arms displayed within a rectangular shield occupying the central field, surmounted by a royal crown. The shield features the characteristic quintas (five escutcheons) arranged in a cross pattern, each charged with bezants, executed in the crude hammered style typical of the Goa mint. The irregular flan and rough granular rim are characteristic of this emission. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The Cross of Saint Thomas (a plain cross pattée) centered in the field, its four arms dividing the face value and date into quadrants: numerals 1 and X in the upper quarters, and 18 and 19 in the lower quarters respectively. The surrounding field is bordered by a radiating granular or roped rim consistent with hammered coinage produced at the Goa mint. The cross is rendered with a pellet at its center. |
