A scroll or ribbon bearing the word GLORIA is draped across the lower trunk. The date 1565 appears in the lower field beneath the tree. The entire device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with a Latin legend in Gothic lettering encircling the design, invoking Psalm 68 and the motto 'DAT GLORIA VIRES'. |
