| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian inscription in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy, arranged in two registers divided by a horizontal decorative rule. The legend, rendered in deeply struck relief against a stippled and floral-patterned field, reads a royal proclamation attributing the coinage to Shahrukh Shah, styled as 'Sahib-Qiran' and 'Kalb-Sultan of Khorasan,' with the regnal date AH 1187 appearing in the lower register. The field is filled with characteristic dotted rosette ornaments typical of late Afsharid die engraving, lending the surface a richly textured aesthetic. The coin exhibits the irregular, slightly uneven outline characteristic of hand-struck production of the period. |
