| Obverse description | Central field bears the Shankha (sacred conch shell), the dynastic emblem of Travancore, rendered in stylized form within a beaded inner circle. The conch is encircled by a wreath of stylized foliate branches. The peripheral legend in Malayalam script runs along the outer border, identifying the issuing state and denomination. The overall design is characteristic of the milled coinage produced for the princely state of Travancore during the early twentieth century. |
