Obverse description Three-line Arabic script legend occupying the central field, rendered in the Naskh calligraphic style typical of Mughal-period coinage, inscribed within a circular border. The legend references the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II and the mint authority. A marginal inscription runs along the outer rim, completing the epigraphic composition characteristic of Bengal Nawabdom rupees.
