Reverse description The reverse displays a bold Nastaliq Persian legend identifying the mint name of Katak (Cuttack), arranged across the field in the typical Mughal rupee fashion. A crescent followed by a dot serves as the distinguishing mint mark of Katak, positioned prominently in the upper field. A trefoil or floral symbol is also visible near the top of the die, consistent with known specimens of this issue. The regnal year inscription appears in the lower margin.
