| Obverse description | The obverse presents three horizontal bands of bold Naskh Arabic calligraphy filling the entire field, divided by two raised parallel lines characteristic of Mughal-style rupee typology. The uppermost register bears the royal name and epithet, the central band the principal legend, and the lower register the auspicious phrase. Two raised pellets serve as mint or die marks positioned within the field. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of hammered coinage of the period, with the legends occasionally running off the edge. |
