| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a bold central Arabic religious legend in deeply struck, sprawling naskh/nasta'liq script filling the entire field. The Shahada and acknowledgment of Ali as the Wali of God are inscribed across the face, reading: 'There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, Ali is the Friend of God.' The lettering is surrounded by dotted decorative elements typical of Afsharid coinage, with the script extending nearly to the irregular, slightly clipped rim. No figurative imagery is present, in accordance with Islamic numismatic convention. |
