Obverse description Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed at center, with wings spread downward, surmounted by a single Imperial crown above; the breast bears an escutcheon depicting St. George slaying the dragon. The eagle's talons clutch a scepter to the left and an orb to the right. The circular Cyrillic legend МОНЕТА * РУБЛЬ arcs across the upper field, while the date and mint-master initials НГ appear in the lower exergue, flanked by the year inscription ГОДА along the lower periphery.
