Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Anna I facing right, her hair elaborately dressed with a pearl strand and surmounted by an imperial crown. The empress wears a lace-trimmed décolleté gown with armored pauldrons visible at the shoulder. A Cyrillic legend encircles the effigy close to the rim, reading the full imperial titulature. The portrait is rendered in a baroque style with fine detail in the hair and drapery, characteristic of early 18th-century Russian coinage.
