Reverse description The Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and each head surmounted by a separate crown, a third larger crown arching above both heads. The eagle's breast bears an escutcheon depicting the mounted St. George slaying the dragon. The right talon grasps a sceptre and the left an orb, both rendered in crisp detail. The date '1779' is positioned in the upper field, flanked by dot stops, while the circular Cyrillic legend around the periphery reads '∙МОН∙ЦЕНА∙РƔБЛЬ∙', denoting the coin's denomination as one Rouble.
