| Obverse description | Draped bust of Catherine II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and adorned with a small imperial crown, with flowing curled locks cascading to the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the drapery and lace at the décolletage. The circular Cyrillic legend runs along the periphery, reading the empress's full imperial title. The mint mark ММД appears in the lower exergue beneath the bust truncation. |

The date is split to the left and right of the eagle's wings in the upper field, while the Cyrillic denomination legend МОНЕТА РУБЛЬ is distributed around the periphery.
