Obverse description Turreted head of the city-goddess Segesta facing right, wearing a distinctive mural crown composed of tall, closely-set battlements and adorned with a pendant earring visible below. The hair is rendered in fine parallel striations falling along the neck, and the portrait is executed in a dignified Hellenistic style. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse.
