Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in low relief with a bearded visage and naturalistically detailed hair bound by a laurel wreath. The effigy occupies the central field of the flan and is enclosed within a beaded border. The style is characteristic of late Hellenistic Sicilian bronze coinage produced under Roman protectorate influence.
