| Obverse description | Central field features a three-line Kufic Arabic religious inscription enclosed within a single inner circle. A further marginal inscription in Kufic script encircles the inner circle, separated by a border, following the standard Fatimid epigraphic layout. The legends include Quranic phrases and the name of the Fatimid Caliph Al-Zahir. The coin is crudely struck on an irregular flan, characteristic of Sicilian hammered gold coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays a three-line Kufic Arabic inscription within an inner circle, mirroring the layout of the obverse. A concentric marginal Kufic legend surrounds the inner circle, typically recording the mint, date, or additional religious formulae consistent with Fatimid coinage conventions. The strike is irregular and slightly off-center, as is typical of hammered tari issues of Norman-Fatimid Sicily. The overall epigraphic style reflects the Fatimid chancery tradition adapted to Sicilian production. |
