Reverse description Central crowned rectangular heraldic shield bearing three crowns above the Bernadotte dynastic arms, flanked on the dexter side by the Swedish crowned rampant lion facing left and on the sinister side by the Norwegian crowned rampant lion holding an axe, also facing left. The shield is encircled by the collar chain of the Order of the Seraphim, comprising seven seraphim (angel) heads. The date and denomination '1/3 R.C.' appear divided at the sides of the chain's pendant below the shield, along with the mintmaster's initials 'CB'. The king's personal motto 'FOLKETS KÄRLEK MIN BELÖNING' (The love of the people is my reward) appears in the field at either side of the shield, with the whole composition enclosed within a beaded border.
