Obverse description Draped bust of King Carl XIII facing right, depicted with long flowing wig in the late Baroque court fashion, truncation visible at the lower field. The effigy fills the majority of the coin's face, rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and drapery. A circular legend in Latin runs along the rim, separated from the bust by a toothed border. The overall portrait style reflects the neoclassical engraving tradition of the Stockholm Mint.
