| Obverse description | Laureate, armored half-length figure of a knight facing right, holding a sword upright over the right shoulder and a ribbon bearing the small shield of Holland in the left hand. The effigy is rendered in bold relief in the Dutch Renaissance style. The circumferential legend, struck in Latin, runs along the outer border and terminates with the Dordrecht mint mark (rose). A beaded inner circle frames the central design. |
