Reverse description A crowned double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, occupying the full field; on the eagle's breast is an inescutcheon bearing the arms of the city of Utrecht (a cross). The crowns above each head are rendered in the late sixteenth-century imperial style. The circumferential Latin legend encircles the design between beaded borders, rendered in the same hammered technique as the obverse.
