| 表面の銘文 | ¼ Rigsdaler Den Kongelige Grönlandske Handel betaler denne Anvisning ved Handelstederne i Grönland med ¼ Rdlr., skriver Fire og Tyve Skilling Dansk Courant. Kiöbenhavn 1804. |
| 裏面の説明 | The reverse is unprinted, presenting a plain paper surface with the triangular letterpress impression from the obverse visible in blind relief through the sheet. A dotted border runs along the left and right edges, echoing the obverse frame. This absence of a printed reverse design is characteristic of the early Greenlandic trade note series. |

The Kongelige Grønlandske Handel — the Royal Greenlandic Trade monopoly — issued its own paper currency for Greenland because conventional Danish coinage was largely impractical in a colonial outpost where the company controlled all commerce. These notes functioned within a closed trading system: workers and hunters received them as credit against goods at company stores, not as freely circulating money. That arrangement made external redemption essentially meaningless.
The 1804 series, of which Pick 7 is among the smallest denominations, is scarce today largely because the notes rarely left Greenland and were subject to the company's own redemption and destruction cycles rather than any formal central bank retirement process.
